The blooms on 'Sundenia Red' are 3 to 5 inches across—that's double the size of a typical dipladenia! Between the large blooms, rich colors, and compact habit, I find this plant works beautifully just about anywhere, from patios and decks to front walks.

In summer, water frequently to encourage vigorous growth—you'll be amazed how it responds. Cut back on watering in winter to avoid root rot. Once the plant is settled in, pinch it back regularly to keep it looking thick and lush, which also encourages new growth and more blooms. I love that 'Sundenia Red' is drought tolerant once established and handles drier soils just fine. And here's the best part—'Sundenia Red' also attracts butterflies and hummingbirds!
